
The history of the firm goes back to 1939, when entrepreneur Jan Neher founded a clothing company in Trenčín with about 30 employees. The opening ceremony of the factory took place in August 1940.After the war the firm expanded its production capacity to include other regions of Slovakia, under the name ODEVA, odevné závody (clothing works), n.p. (national enterprise)
1989 - Odevné závody n.p. Trenčín became a state enterprise.
1990 - a joint stock company was created, 100% owned by the state, under the name Ozeta, štátna akciová spoločnosť (state joint stock company) Trenčín.
1992 - the company was privatised.
2002 - 1.12.2002 Ozeta was declared to be insolvent.
2003 - as at 1 November, MAXITEX, s.r.o. with its partner private equity group Penta became a new owner of assets belonging to bankruptcy assets of OZETA, a.s. On 28th November the company has been transformed in to joint-stock company OZETA NEO.
